During your family session, you get to simply be present. Every little detail that makes your family yours will be noticed and documented with care, so when you look back years from now, it still feels familiar, honest, and entirely you.

You reach out and tell me a bit about your family. I’ll ask questions, not just about dates and locations, but how your days look right now, what you care about, and how you want this to feel. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you message me, we'll go through everything together.
1. We talk
Once your session is booked, contract, invoice, done. After that, you have me. You can ask about anything, what to wear, locations, timing, how to plan around your kids, what usually works, what doesn’t.
You’ll also receive my Family Session Guide, so you’re not figuring everything out on your own or second guessing every decision.
2. It’s happening
Closer to the session, we go through everything together so I can get a clear picture of what matters most to you. How your family is together, what your days feel like right now, anything you want me to pay attention to. I help you shape a session that actually works, one that feels natural to step into, not something that feels staged or forced.
3. We Plann
On the day, you won’t be managed every second. I step in when it helps, guide you when it’s needed, especially with kids, and keep things moving in a way that feels easy. Most of the time, I’m just there, paying attention, knowing when to guide and when to just let you be together.
4. Your Session Day
After your family session, you get a full gallery of what your life looked like in that moment. Not just the big things, but the in-between ones too, the way you are together, the small things you don’t notice while they’re happening, but the moments you’ll want to come back to later.

What if my kids don’t cooperate?
That’s completely okay and honestly, expected. Kids don’t need to sit still or smile perfectly the entire time for beautiful photographs to happen. Some of the best moments come from movement, laughter, cuddles, exploring, and simply letting kids be themselves.
My sessions are relaxed and child-led, with plenty of space for genuine moments instead of forcing perfection.
What should we wear for our family or maternity session?
I always recommend wearing something that feels comfortable and true to you. Neutral tones, earthy colors, soft textures, and outfits that complement each other (rather than matching exactly) tend to photograph beautifully and timelessly.
Once you book, I’ll also send guidance to help make outfit planning easier.
Where do your family sessions take place?
Family sessions can take place outdoors, in your home, at a studio, or somewhere meaningful to your family. Whether it’s your favorite park, a cozy morning at home, a beach you love visiting, or simply a place that feels special to this season of life, I always want the location to feel natural and connected to your family.
If you’re not sure where you’d like your session to happen, don’t worry at all. I’m always happy to suggest locations based on the vibe you’re looking for, the season, lighting, and the overall feeling you want your photographs to have.
What if the weather is bad?
If the weather is unsafe or extremely unfavorable, we’ll simply reschedule your session for another date. I always want your session to feel relaxed, enjoyable, and stress-free rather than forcing a session in conditions that don’t feel comfortable for your family.
That being said, not every cloudy day is a bad thing. Some of the most beautiful and cozy photographs happen on overcast days because the light is soft and dreamy. If there’s light rain, clouds, or changing weather, we’ll decide together what feels best.
